CAPCIP Training on Case Management in Handling Cases Involving Children

The Open Heart Foundation conducted a 2-day training seminar on Case Management in Handling Cases Involving Children to three CAPCIP areas in Cavite: Carmona, GMA, and Silang. It was held on February 28 to March 1, 2017 at Tagaytay Country Hotel, Tagaytay City. The 27 participants who attended the seminar were composed of Local Social Workers and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) Staff, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Officers. The Resource person was Mrs. Leah S. Sanzuela, RSW, Director of the Pangarap Foundation.

The 2-day training was designed for the participants to be refreshed on case management process and to strengthen the collaboration among service providers engaged in preventing and responding cases of abused children. Group workshops were done according to their areas and made them work together in identifying the flows of services in an integrated and systematic approach. As a result, participants in different fields came out with a case management planning as means of determining the appropriate interventions for a child.
